PDF Header & Footer
Add text headers and/or footers to every page of a PDF. Use a current-page placeholder (the literal characters open-brace n close-brace) and a total-pages placeholder in your text. Skip page 1 if it's a cover.
Add custom text headers and/or footers to every page. Use {n} for current page, {total} for total pages.
How to use PDF Header & Footer

- Type header and/or footer text. Use the current-page and total-pages placeholders to inject numbers.
- Pick position, color, font size, margin.
- Click Apply and Download.
What is PDF Header & Footer?
Need more than just page numbers? Add a document title, author, copyright notice, or any other text — independently on top and bottom of each page. The 'Outside' position alternates between left (even pages) and right (odd pages), like a book.
FAQ
- How is this different from PDF Page Numbers?
- Page Numbers is the simple case (just numbers). This tool also accepts arbitrary text in header and footer simultaneously.
- Can I change the font, size, or color of the header text?
- Yes. You can adjust font size, choose from several font styles, and pick a custom color for your header and/or footer text before generating the output.
- Does this work on password-protected PDFs?
- No. The tool requires an unlocked PDF to process it. Since everything runs locally in the browser, it cannot bypass or remove PDF passwords.
