What is Disemvowel?
The disemvoweler removes the letters a, e, i, o, and u — leaving consonants, spaces, digits, and punctuation untouched. Optionally include the letter y as a vowel, or invert the operation to keep only the vowels and discard everything else. Case handling is configurable.

FAQ
- Does y get removed?
- Only if you tick the 'Treat y as a vowel' option. By default y is kept, since its vowel role depends on the word.
- Is the original text recoverable?
- No — vowel removal is one-way. Make a copy first if you need the original.
